American Broach to move to Ypsilanti

(October 18, 2007) American Broach and Machine of Scio Township has announced plans to relocate their business and manufacturing facility to Ypsilanti. They have purchased a building on South Mansfield in the Ypsilanti industrial park.
American Broach has plans to sell their building on Jackson Road to Home Depot. Their move is dependent on Home Depot receiving final approval from Scio Township to build on Jackson Road.
American Broach has some 30 employees that will locate in Ypsilanti and has been in business since 1919. Broaches are the cutting tools that are used in the machining process. American Broach also manufactures and sells CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) broaching machines and sharpeners. They have two other locations in Canton and North Adams, Michigan.
